honestly? i love bobby and all, but the real plan was to get my boy JAY LAYNE (check http://www.jaylane.net/) ratdog's drummer (and leader of countless other bands) up on the ropeadope stage. he shows up with a HUGE spliff and is like "yo andy, do you mind if bobby comes and jams too" and i was like "sure man, bob weir can do whatever the fuck he wants to do" and jay was like "cool, the only thing is, he wants to jam with some rappers....do you know any rappers" and i was all like "yea man, i know some rappers". and so it went - we didn't have a single rehearsal, i just introduced jay to my boys from electric city and jawnzap7 from burndown allstars and it was on. of course, if bobby and jay were there, the whole rest of the ratdog wanted to play too and soooooo, in the pouring rain, with virtually nobody in the audience (at the begining! it was packed by the end) we debuted RAP DOG. word.
