Celebrating 2015 - Ruff Scott

Deep deep sounds graced the second release from PRINCE POLO RECORDS, as RUFF SCOTT of Easy Star Allstars brought in NOTHING SHALL I FEAR, a proper reggae album. Dig it right here, and if you keep Jamaica in your heart and mind put the cans on and light up with the dub version right here. As I walk through the valley nothing shall I fear…

Celebrating 2015 - Quizflo

Our goal of connecting great musicians and great listeners took one huge leap forward with the launch of PRINCE POLO RECORDS in the fall of 2015. Producer Billy Polo holds all time in his grasp, with a deep respect for the past and a solid progressive ear. Prince Polo led off with OUT FROM THE NEST from New York (by way of Trinidad) melody maker QUIZFLO. Songs of positive vibration and peaceful sensation are the way, dig it right here and love all life.

Celebrating 2015 - Frank Catalano

The sax man from Chicago who keeps on bringing his positive energy to the world, Frank Catalano hit us this fall with a surprise record with none other than Randy Brecker and the great Ornette Coleman (RIP). A fitting tribute to the sounds of Cuba, Havana Nu-Beat Suite is a beautiful record with lasting power. Jump in right here to get the beat of the street.

Celebrating 2015 - Big Sam’s Funky Nation

Big Sam Williams blows that horn in true New Orleans style. As a member of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band he’s appeared on Ropeadope before, but this time he jumped in with his new single - FEET ON THE FLOOR. The track is a statement on the lasting power of New Orleans music and people, exactly 10 years after the storm. Look for a new full length LP from the Funky Nation next year, but in the meantime get your party style on right here.

Celebrating 2015 - Jesse Fischer

We’ve been fans of Jesse Fischer for some time, and when he decided to bring his latest project - DAYDREAMER - to Ropeadope we were thrilled. A beautiful, reflective, and intensely personal record, Day Dreamer shows a man in transition after the birth of his first child. Special guests Takuya Kuroda and Sarah Elizabeth Charles add aesthetically perfect touches. Drop in on Jesse Fischer right here, and do yourself a big favor and catch Jesse live.
